My fifth 20-miler

Short version: My 20-miler went okay, so it's official -- I'm sending in the form to register for the Seattle Marathon!

Long version: For the first time in my life, I had issues with OVER-hydration! Running puts more pressure on the bladder than walking, so I slowed down during miles 9-10 of the latest 20-miler until I was able to relieve myself.

I still averaged about 9:50 / mile for this run. This isn't as fast as my runs on August 28 (9:18) and September 11 (9:02), but it is faster than my run on August 14 (9:57) and the first 20 miles of the Milwaukee marathon (10:07). I think I'm in good enough shape to run a marathon in three weeks.

So, another tapering period begins. In a future post, I'll talk more about my goal pace for Seattle.
